about me

I’m Nicole. Certified Swiftie, crocheter, Below Deck devotee.

It always feels weird to tell people about myself, you know? What’s actually relevant? Is it important to know that I love Michael Schur shows? Probably not. I do, though. I will never find my limit on The Good Place rewatches.

It does feel relevant to say that I’ve been working in sports media for nearly 10 years, I’ve moved about a dozen times for the sake of my career and I’ve ended up nowhere near where I thought I would be. That’s all good. I like taking opportunities where they come and doing what feels right at the time. Instincts are important and I try to follow mine wherever they lead, even if it isn’t where I thought I would go.

I was an objectively terrible Girl Scout but I do like to be prepared. I love a spreadsheet, a calendar or a checklist - sometimes all three if necessary. I have been told I have a Mary Poppins-like bag, (or Aggie from Halloweentown if you want to get really Millennial about it) full of anything I (or my coworkers) may need on hand.

I’m a crafter, mostly crochet, and I like to keep my hands busy. I worked at Michaels for a while and I think my crafting knowledge has gotten me out of an in-field bind every now and again.

There’s a musical for every occasion, I believe that with all my heart. (That one is important.)
